Food Service Assistant

Assists in the food preparation for the Nassau Community College EOP Program.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: 

• Assists Culinary Services Team in preparing and packaging food for service at Nassau Community College.  All items will be set up buffet style with appropriate set-up.
• Assists in the preparation and set up for meals ensuring that quality and quantity guidelines are followed
• Completes clean up tasks and prepare food for storage following appropriate food handling procedure
• Performs other duties as requested by supervisor and/or administration.

• High School diploma or Equivalent preferred. 
• Food service experience preferred. 

Physical aspects may include but are not limited to lifting and transferring of food supplies.
