IT Security Manager

Assist Information Technology (IT) management team in providing leadership and management to the department in its charge to provide, operate, and maintain the computing, security, and telecommunication facilities and the services to meet the needs of the five organizations within the agency. 

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: 

• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of the agency network, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, Antivirus, and access control lists, to protect against cyber threats and to ensure data confidentiality and integrity. Conduct regular network penetration security tests and direct help desk staff on security project work                                
• Manage agency wide card access and camera control system. Supervise the management of employee access cards, camera surveillance and ensure the security of all locations and assets.  Oversee and document video and security investigations across the agency.  Manage vendor support contracts and facilitate all vendor work and projects.                                                                        
• Manage 911 notification and security management system. Maintain the system hardware and software and the phone extension location grid.  Train employees on the system and coordinate drills on a regularly scheduled basis.  Manage vendor support contracts and facilitate all vendor work and projects.   
• Assist IT Director in managing the Avaya Enterprise Phone System and the NEC remote phone systems.  Provide support for attendant consoles and the Avaya app.  Train help desk staff on end user modifications to the phone system.     

Performs all other duties requested by supervisor.

• BS in Computer Science; Five years of experience in an IT environment.
• Experience with security technologies; Solid technical background; Customer service oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Physical demands may include but are not limited to lifting up to 40lbs.
